June Barnes is currently President of June Barnes Media, Inc. Ms. Barnes' client list for print and online advertising include radio stations, groups, vendors, brokers, engineering companies, consultants, research companies and radio networks.
Ms. Barnes client list has included Syndicated Solutions where she sold sponsorships for radio shows. She represented Basketball News Services selling print advertising for Swish Magazine and radio station programing sales for it's NBA vignette. Her client list for Basketball News Services included, NBA teams, suppliers, vendors and arenas as well as radio stations and networks nationwide.
She previously represented advertising opportunities in Radio Business Report and Taylor on Radio-info trade publications to the radio and television industry.
Before forming June Barnes Media, Ms. Barnes served as Vice President of Marketing and Custom Data Sales for M Street Corporation. Her responsibilities included coordination and sales of all advertising and promotion for data products, M Street Daily Radio Fax, weekly M Street Journal, industry trade show presence and layout of two yearly radio directories in addition to special publications. Based on her experience in the radio industry, Ms. Barnes served as a consultant on various issues to M Street's current and potential clients.
Ms. Barnes also previously served as Director of Research for Disney/ABC Radio Network. During her stint at ABC, Ms. Barnes implemented cluster analysis usages for radio. Ms. Barnes provided sales support and programming research for more than 1000 current 24-hour affiliates. In addition, Ms. Barnes lent her expertise in helping radio station owners and major broadcasting groups determine music format programming potential and potential advertising clients to increase revenues of the stations.
Her seven years of experience using the PRIZM Cluster System, was garnered from responsibilities at CBS affiliate, KDFW-TV in Dallas, Texas, where she performed numerous duties as Director of Research. During her two years at KDFW-TV, she expanded the uses of their current lifestyle analysis program which was designed to increase local spot sales. Other experience ranges from WVVA Television, A. H. Belo Corporation and Dallas advertising agency, The Bloom Agency, now Bloom-FCA.
American Demographics released a case study compilation on desktop marketing, where Ms. Barnes is a featured expert. She was included in a feature article on business mapping in ComputerWorld and an article on target marketing in The Dallas Morning News.
Her interests include ice dancing where she has passed the United States Figure Skating Association preliminary and pre-Bronze Compulsory Dance Tests. She's also a competitive tennis player in USTA league play in Columbia, SC.
